줄거리

어린이날을 앞두고 정남이네 학교에서는 교내행사로 동요극 방정환 선생의 이야기를 공연하기로 하여 준비가 한창이다. 방정환 선생님 역할은 가난하지만 홀어머니 박씨와 단란하게 사는 정남이, 일본형사역은 부잣집 아들 태환이가 맡았는데, 태환의 엄마 유여사는 태환의 배역에 불만이 많아 삯빨래를 하는 박씨에게 돈을 주면서 정남에게 방정환 선생역을 포기하라고 부탁한다.

The kids at Jung-nam's school are busy preparing to do a play of Bang Jung-hwan's story for Children's day celebrations. Bang Jung-hwan is the eternal lover and friend of all children. The role of Jung-hwan is assigned to Jung-nam who comes from a poor but close family and the role of the Japanese cop is given to Tae-hwan who comes from a wealthy family. Tae-hwan's mother is unhappy about her son's role and gives Jung-nam's mother money to convince Jung-nam to give up the role. When he finds out, Jung-nam misses school. On the day of the play, the teacher is shocked to have no lead actor but the day is saved when Tae-hwan takes Jung-nam up on stage.
