줄거리

한국전쟁 당시 황해도 돌무지 마을 주민들은 38도선 북쪽이 공산군 지배가 되면서 그들에게 시달린다. 유지출신으로 회색분자로 낙인찍힌 김시중(김승호)은 비바람 몰아치던 날, 북한군을 살해한 후 부상당해 도망치던 남한 청년(신성일)을 다락에 숨겨준다. 김시중의 딸 영애(남정임)는 청년을 간호하게 되는데, 둘 사이에선 사랑의 감정이 싹튼다.

During the Korean War (1950-1953), the residents of Dolmuji in Hwanghae-do, suffer greatly under the North Korean communist party over the 38th Parallel. Kim Shi-joong (starring Seung-Ho Kim) is branded as a wobbler since he is from a wealthy family. One stormy day, he hides a young man from South Korea (starring Shin Seong-Il) into his attic, while the man runs away after killing a North Korean soldier. Kim’s daughter, Young-ae (starring Nam Jeong-Im) takes care of the man, and they fall in love.
