줄거리

나치 역사상 두 번째로 많은 제작비를 들인 프로파간다 영화다. 정치범 수용소에서의 대량학살을 정당화하고, 이를 영국인이 남아프리카에서 고안해낸 산물이라고 비난하는 목적으로 만들어졌다. 1899년부터 1902년 사이에 있었던 보어전쟁에서 영국에 대항한 보어인 대통령 파울 크뤼거(에밀 야닝스)의 투쟁을 다룬 작품이다.

This is the propaganda film with the second biggest budget in Nazi history. It was made with the purpose of justifying genocide for political prisoners and of blaming English people for the design of genocide in South Africa. This film deals with the struggle of Paul Krüger (Emil Jannings) who fought against England in the Boer War from 1899 to 1902.
