줄거리

아쿠타가와 류노스케의 단편 소설 『덤불 속』을 원작으로 인간성에 대한 고민을 담은 작품. 갑자기 내린 비를 피하기 위해 ‘라쇼몽' 아래서 만난 세 사람은 나무꾼과 여인, 그리고 사무라이가 얽힌 기묘한 사건에 대한 이야기를 나누지만 화자에 따라 내용은 완전히 달라진다. 1951년 베니스영화제 황금사자상 수상.

Rashomon is based on the novel “Inside of a Grove” by Akutagawa Ryunosuke. Three men, sheltering from the rain, start to talk about the story on a woodcutter, a woman, and a samurai. But the story shows differences and variations, depending on who’s talking. Winner of the Golden Lion at Venice Film Festival in 1951.
