줄거리

나치의 영향이 저변에 흐르는 풍속극. 니마이어 교수(에밀 야닝스)는 왕립고등학교의 교장으로, 학생들은 그를 사랑스럽지만 세상에서 보기 어려운 “트라우물루스(몽상가)”라고 부른다. 어느날 그가 아끼는 제자이자 젊은 남작인 쿠르트(한스 슈텔처)가 그를 걱정하여 밤늦게 비밀리에 찾아오는데, 니마이어와 앙숙인 군수가 꾸미는 음모에 대해 알려주려는 것이다.

This film is a popular drama under the influence of the Nazi. Professor Niemeyer (Emil Jannings) is the director of the Royal High School. Students there call him lovely Traumulus (Dreamer) they hardly see in this world. One day, his dear pupil and young baron, Kurt von Zedlitz (Hannes Stelzer) visits him at late night with a worry. He wants to inform him the fact that the governor on bad terms with Professor Niemeyer conspires against him.
